Another year has passed, and it’s time for Anime Revolution 2014. I’ll be down there with a few of my friends just like last time. From the look of things, this year will be fun and possibly better than last year. If you want to meet up with me, leave me a comment or a tweet me @shcboomer.
It’s been a while since my last post on my blog, but I thought I’d share some news. I’ve started up a blog on TCGs such as MTG, WS, and others called Grind’Em Games. Honestly, TCGs have been one of my favorite hobbies lately and I thought I’d share some thought about them there. A few of my friends signed up to start writing their thoughts as well. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Another long trip over, much fun was had. The worst part of these events is coming back from them, going back to the daily hustle and bustle of life is definitely less fun than any convention. Anyway, this would be a good time to go over how the trip went before I forget the finer details.
Some context I should probably note is that I headed down to Sakura-Con with 3 other friends and one of them drove us all there. We left Vancouver, BC at about 6AM in the morning and after some rest stops and crossing the border, we finally arrived at the parking lot we had booked a spot in to park at. The trip down took us a bit more than five hours and it was around noon by the time we got to the Sheraton hotel located next to the Seattle Convention Center. Our initial plans was to check-in and get our rooms, but we were told there was a wait for rooms and we should come back later. We left our bags at the bell desk for storage and decided to head over to the convention to kill some time and check it out.
Our first stop at the convention center would be the registration area. Even though the lines were fairly long, things were organized and we managed to get through the whole line and grab our passes in about twenty minutes which is quite efficient. Anime Revolution took me about an hour and a bit more to actually grab my pass for the event. Day one here was as packed as I thought it would be when it came to lineups since this room was constantly full during the time were there and even after we had left.
Well, looks like it’s February already. All I can say is that time passes by pretty quickly. I’m still currently working on Little Busters! EX with Refrain Subs, we’re still downloading the raw files. On the bright side we have the K-effects done, and the script basically ready. The only thing left is encoding, re-timing, and of course QC. Other than Refrain Subs, I’m also starting to edit the Mare scripts for the Hoshizora no Memoria: Eternal Heart project. Hopefully, I can make some good progress in the upcoming weeks. Lastly, I’ve also started going through some of the scripts for Kourin no Machi, we’re slowly crawling towards the end point in that project.
Happy Lunar New Year everyone!
Just a quick update on my blog since it has been a while since I last posted on it. I’ve been pretty busy with school lately so posts are harder to come by now than ever before. On the bright side, I’ll be back on board with Refrain Subs to sub the Little Busters! EX series of OVAs monthly.
